Concert Photos: Disturbed Celebrated 25 Years of The Sickness at Rocket Arena in Cleveland

Early aughts hitmakers Disturbed blew through town last night with American Idol alum Daughtry in tow. Playing to an enthusiastic Rocket Arena crowd, the outfit, who scored a hit a few years ago with an, um, disturbing cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence,” took the stage in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their album The Sickness. The first half of their set was that album in its entirety; the second half was a greatest hits assembly of their career, with “The Sound of Silence” as a late-set addition.

Daughtry gave up an eleven-song set, highlighted by the tune that he said “started it all.” It was an acoustic rendition of “Home,” the song that American Idol adopted as their anthem; it was used from 2007 onwards whenever a contestant got the boot from the show.

Texas-bred Nothing More took the stage for a seven-song set to get the evening started. Frontman Jonny Hawkins, bearing a strong resemblance to Jim Morrison, led his quartet in a short stint onstage prior to Daughtry taking over the mic.
