The Agora Ballroom hosted the sold-out Jessie Murph show Friday night. Murph, a 20-year old sensation from Alabama who gained notoriety on both YouTube and TikTok, played to a diverse crowd of people, some sporting cowboy hats and others Lynyrd Skynyrd T-shirts.
On tour to support her September album release, That Ain’t No Man That’s the Devil, the show had fairly robust production values, with a large stage setup including tall risers and a fairly complex lighting package.
Considered a ountry artist, that label is fairly inaccurate. Like many of today’s acts, she tends to blend genres. She’s released over a dozen singles, charting in multiple countries.
