Country up-and-comers Maddie and Tae played the Mentor Rocks! Venue in Mentor last night to a large Tuesday-night crowd. As part of the city’s summer concert series, the duo joined Leann Rimes (in a late July show) as a pair of nationally-recognized artists in a schedule of performances that normally features tribute bands.
The schedule goes from June until mid-September of each year.The series regularly attracts about 7,000 attendees for each show, but Maddie and Tae had a much larger crowd then normal. Taking the stage a little after 7:30 last night, they played a ninety-minute set against the backdrop of a cool, late August evening.
