Concert Photos: Mr. Big at the Agora

Mr. Big crashed into The Agora Friday night, towards the end of “The Big Finish” tour. Traveling the world for more than a year, this tour features the band’s original lineup of vocalist Eric Martin, bassist Billy Sheehan, guitarist Paul Gilbert, with drummer Nick D’Virgilio. Nick replaces original drummer Pat Torpey, who lost his battle with Parkinson’s disease in 2018.


Exploding into the first song from their 1989 self-titled debut, the fan favorite “Addicted To That Rush,” the band then followed with a few other early tracks —  “Take Cover” and “Price You Gotta Pay” — before performing their second release Lean Into It in it’s entirety. Lean Into It was their breakthrough album, containing the #1 hit “To Be With You.” The album was ranked No. 49 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 Greatest Hair Metal Albums of All Time. The two-hour set ended with some covers and a searing bass solo by virtuoso Billy Sheehan.
