“My last name is Zappa; my father was Frank Zappa, but I am not allowed to use the name on its own,” Dweezil Zappa tells the New York Times. “I’m not allowed to use a picture of him. I’m not allowed to use my own connection with him without some sort of deal to be struck.”
Undeterred by that setback, Zappa has soldiered on. He brings his current tour, cheekily dubbed “50 Years of Frank: Dweezil Zappa Plays Whatever The F@%k He Wants — The Cease and Desist Tour,” to the Kent Stage on Nov. 5. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
