“The timing of the festival is the weekend prior to the RNC kickoff in downtown Cleveland,” says Fox in a press release. “Counter to the conventional mindset of avoiding conflicting programs this July, Agumboot Arts believes that this time is ideal for native Clevelanders to embrace art & culture with a nearby escape from the political conversations of the day.”
Entirely funded through a community outreach crowd funding campaign that ends on May 1, the festival will feature two to three stages and about a dozen artists. At 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, a crowd funding campaign kicks off at the Euclid Tavern. Tickets to the event are $10 and will help to cover the festival’s expenses. The Euclid Tavern event will feature some local bands, and Fox will present his vision of the festival.

Only $10? I can’t imagine the festival obtaining any worthwhile acts with that rate. Until I see a lineup of some stature, count me out

Thomas Fox is a man behind one of the most successful festivals in Cleveland. I have complete faith that this will definitely be worthwhile!
You guys do realize the $10 in question is for entrance for the festival presentation at Happy Dog at Euclid Tavern on March 30th and not tickets for the festival itself, right?
