Honeybucket frontman and former Walk the Moon member Adam Reifsnyder explores what he describes as an “intimate folk/pop sound” on his first solo EP, Phases, which comes out today.

Reifsnyder, who wrote the Cleveland International Film Festival’s theme tune “Old High Road” and co-wrote Walk the Moon’s hit “Anna Sun,” has taken a break from Honeybucket’s newgrass sound to focus on the pop-rock songs on the new EP.

Reifsnyder and engineer Anthony Miozzi created Phases as the culmination of a four-year mentorship through Cleveland non-profit College Now, which guides students in Northeastern Ohio through college and higher education.

Miozzi, who recently graduated from Capitol University with a degree in Music Production, used the EP as part of his senior year project.
