
Remember when the Ohio Republican Party used part of Jackson Browne’s “Running on Empty” last year when John McCain was running for president? Remember when Browne through a hissy about it? Well, we can all exhale: The matter’s been resolved.
Browne filed a lawsuit last August after the Ohio Republican Party posted a pro-McCain video using parts of “Running on Empty.”
Details of the settlement weren’t disclosed, but apparently the way-left-leaning Browne got some cash out of the deal.
Not sure what the big deal is. It sounds like a whole lotta truth to is, since the Republican party had been running on empty for at least the past eight years. —Michael Gallucci
