“I’m working on a piece that’s so bizarre,” he said in the interview. “I started a piece of music 28 years ago in Big Bear, which is southeast of L.A. I was just getting away from the world for three months, and I decided to do an album. But it never got finished because life is like that. Now, 28 years later, I’m just finishing five of the songs, plus five new songs. It’s amazing how music is timeless.”
In support of the album, which comes out later this year, Anderson, who co-authored some of the biggest Yes hits, including “I’ve Seen All Good People,” “Roundabout” and “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” will perform on Sunday, March 31, at Hard Rock Live.
Anderson has also had great success with a series of albums he did with the composer Vangelis.
The show will provide a full retrospective of his hits from Yes, Jon & Vangelis and his solo career.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
