Meet the Band: Ryan Sheridan (vocals and guitar), Mike Donzella (bass), and Bob Young (drums)
Making Their Dreams Come True: Gossip Culture boast a nostalgia-heavy sound that’s “a mixture of ’80s synth-pop like New Order, Daft Punk, and the blue-eyed soul of Hall & Oates,” says Sheridan. “I suppose at one point Hall & Oates was considered a guilty pleasure, but we fully embrace their style of songwriting.”
So You Think You Can’t Dance: Sheridan and the guys want you to get up and shake your body down to the ground. “We play dance music as a traditional rock trio, so even the shyest of wallflowers can get into it.”
Gossip Culture’s Pop Culture:
Favorite Fictional Band: Driveshaft

Why You Should Hear Them: With a finger on the pulse of recent indie-electronic phenoms like LCD Soundsystem, Gossip Culture throw a poppy disco-house voice into the Cleveland scene. They’re gearing up for some shows at the Happy Dog and B-Side Liquor Lounge this fall in support of their first EP, People Talk.
