Several local bands will perform at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. at Coda in Tremont as part of an effort to show support for national monuments and public lands. The concert is being held to raise awareness of President Trump’s plans to eliminate vast portions of the Grand Staircase National Monument and the Bears Ears National Monument. He reportedly also aims to reduce the size of other National Monuments around the country as well.

Ray Flanagan (pictured), Michelle Gaw, Charlie Mosbrook, Guggy, Milton Blake, Ryan Manthey, Sur Lawrence Trupo, Jason Patrick Meyers, Ed Bridge, Kiss Me Deadly, Meg and the Magnetosphere, Kim Kennedy and J.R. Blessington will perform.

Admission is a $5 suggested donation. Proceeds will benefit Utah Diné Bikéyah and the Grand Staircase Escalante Partners.

The concert coincides with other events taking place across the country in support of national monuments, including a large rally at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City.
