Organizers of Brite Winter, the annual outdoor arts and music festival that takes place on Feb. 21 in the Waterloo Arts District, have just announced that the local group LoConti will serve as this year’s headliner.

The expanded footprint includes two outdoor stages and six indoor stages.

“What’s exciting about holding the festival in the Waterloo Arts District is the opportunity to see more of our acts perform across outdoor stages and inside neighborhood venues,” says Emily Hornack, Brite Winter Executive Director, in a press release. “Waterloo has become Cleveland’s music road and having these bands, coupled with immersive art installations, will give Brite fans a fresh experience.”

The lineup also includes bands from Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Columbus and features acts such as experimental indie rockers Kid Tigrrr, singer-songwriter Matt Moody and old school country act Country Honk.

Nearly 300 bands applied for this year’s festival; organizers selected 37 perform. The schedule will be announced in January.

“Our music liaisons put tremendous care into shaping this year’s lineup, building a mix of genres that gives every fan the chance to find their favorites while discovering something new,” says Brent Kirby, Brite Winter Music Director. “This year we’re also collaborating with multiple neighborhood partners, including Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present & Future, whose incubator program will be featured at the Beachland Ballroom.”
