Local rapper Mookie Motonio, who’s slated to perform on Saturday at the Umoja Day Parade and Festival that takes place from noon to 7:30 p.m. at Voinovich Park and on Thursday, June 5 at Epic Lounge, is generating rave reviews for his new single, “No I in Love,” a sultry R&B tune featuring P rnb Jonez. Motonio released the song through is own Soufside City Music Group and his publicist says the song is getting airplay in five Southern markets. Motonio, who has a slow-mo style of rapping that makes it sound like he’s from the Deep South, is most famous for his music video for “One More Time.” The sexually explicit clip has generated some two million page views.
