Local rock photographer Joe Kleon, a volunteer at the place, regularly holds an annual auction to raise money for the free-roaming shelter. He’s just announced the details for his third annual Furrever Home Fundraiser.
In 2016, he raised $1300, and in 2017, he raised $1200, each time with 15 photos. This time, he’s offering T-shirts with the slogan “make America purr again” in addition to 60 concert prints.
The Ebay auctions will go live on Friday and last for 10 days.
Kleon has donated concert photos from artists such as Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Rush, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, AC/DC, Kiss, Stevie Nicks, ZZ Top, Wish You Were Here, Michael Stanley, U2, Rush and many others.
The auction of the Wish You Were Here photo will also include a pair of tickets to the local band’s March 3 concert at the Akron Civic Theatre and a free tour T-shirt.
