Roots rockers Burning River Ramblers are one of the better bands on the local circuit. Now, former front man Conor Standish [pictured] has started a new project. Dubbed Front Porch Lights, the band celebrates the release of its new EP on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Music Box Supper Club.

The EP commences with “Blue Eyes and Red Poison,” a terrific atmospheric tune that sounds a bit like the quieter side of My Morning Jacket. The band also includes bassist Chris Rush, drummer Joey David and guitarist Sean Keiting. Local indie rockers Polars open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the day of the show.
