[image-1]Hugh Grundy, Chris White, Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, surviving members of the classic rock act the Zombies, will dedicate a new exhibit about their band at the Rock Hall at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12.
Artifacts on display will include: Items from the group’s first major hit “She’s Not There,” including Rod Argent’s Hohner electric pianet and sheet music; Chris White’s bass guitar; Paul Atkinson’s acoustic guitar used on the recording of “Tell Her No”; Hugh Grundy’s Ludwig snare drum used on all of the Zombies’ 1960s recordings; and the artwork for the band’s Odessey and Oracle album by Terry Quirk.
The exhibit shows how the band handled its success and how the group has influenced acts such as ZZ Top, Dave Grohl, Arctic Monkeys, the Shins and more.
The Zombies will also participate in a Rock Hall trivia event, which will include behind-the-scenes highlights of the new exhibit. That event will run from 6 to 6:15 p.m. and is open to the public with paid Rock Hall admission and free to Rock Hall members. Prizes will be awarded to winners.
