Two regional rock acts that continue to be popular in Northeast Ohio, Cleveland-based Michael Stanley and the Resonators and Pittsburgh-based Donnie Iris and the Cruisers will team up to play Hard Rock Live on Dec. 22.

Stanley has just released a new disc, In a Very Short Time. It features members of the Resonators as well as several special guests, including local singer-songwriter Don Dixon and his daughter Anna Sary.

The two acts have played to sold-out crowds at the venue every year since 2014.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8. One dollar from each ticket sold will benefit the St. Augustine Hunger Center.

Jeff has been covering the Cleveland music scene for more than 25 years now. On a regular basis, he tries to talk to whatever big acts are coming through town. And if you're in a local band that he needs to hear, email him at jniesel@clevescene.com.

  1. “Live! At Nick’s Fat City” – a 1998 release from Donnie Iris – is worth the time it may take to find a copy at a record store, flea market or online secondary marketplace.
