Money Where Your Mouth Is: The Strange Familiar at Musica

C-Notes occasionally lets the band do the talking. This time around, we pass the mic to the Strange Familiar, a sublime new sophisticated rock band featuring Kira and Jeff of scene veterans Jaded Era, who won like 18 high school rock-offs in a row. More recently they wrote Ashlee Simpson’s “Invisible.” They’re home for the weekend to debut a new CD, taking a brief break from L.A., where they’re making a headlong rush at radio and a record deal.
