Crop Bistro & Bar chef Steve Schimoler is a big fan of rock ‘n’ roll. He plays in two bands — Cream of the Crop and Crop Dusters, a new act influenced by Jerry Garcia and Merl Saunders. So it makes sense that he would partner with Music Box Supper Club, the new music venue and restaurant located in the Flats, for a special dinner and concert. Schimoler, who’s appeared on Food Nation with Bobby Flay and PBS’ Master Chef series, will prepare a four-course meal and then perform with both his bands. The event starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, and tickets, which cost $50, go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday on the Music Box website

Jeff has been covering the Cleveland music scene for more than 25 years now. On a regular basis, he tries to talk to whatever big acts are coming through town. And if you're in a local band that he needs to hear, email him at jniesel@clevescene.com.
