A few years ago, No Wave icon Lydia Lunch put together Retrovirus, a band that could play the music of her punk rock past, including tracks from Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, 8 Eyed Spy, Queen of Siam, 1313 and Shotgun Wedding. That group just came through town earlier this year to play the Beachland Ballrooom.

Now, Lunch has just announced tour dates with the side project Brutal Measures, a band that features her and Retrovirus guitarist Weasel Walter (the Flying Luttenbachers).

The group will perform at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, at Survival Kit, the art gallery located in the 78th Street Studios.

Local performance artist Marcia Custer will open the show. Tickets are $12.
