Currently a professor at the Oberlin Conservatory, Cleveland native Jamey Haddad is a world-renowned percussionist who played with Paul Simon. Tonight at 7 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, he’ll participate in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s “From Songwriters to Soundmen” series.
After talking about working with Simon, he’ll use a digital looper to show how some of the tracks were made. The event will conclude with a Q&A session with the audience. Admission is free but you must RSVP in advance through the Rock Hall website. The event will also be streamed live at RockHall.com.

Jeff has been covering the Cleveland music scene for more than 25 years now. On a regular basis, he tries to talk to whatever big acts are coming through town. And if you're in a local band that he needs to hear, email him at jniesel@clevescene.com.
