Now in its 47th year, the Tri-C JazzFest took a different approach to programming. It brought some locally based acts to the indoor stages and also added some nationally prominent performers to the free outdoor stages.

The JazzFest opened with Sheila E, continued with Durand Bernarr and closed out with the Ohio Players, with dozens of acts in between. Here’s what we saw.
