In 2014, prog rockers Coheed and Cambria played an epic two-hour show in front of a sold-out crowd at House of Blues. The group performed 2003's In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 in its entirety and then returned for three encores.

Now, with a new album to promote, the band has announced a fall tour that includes an Oct. 9 stop at the Agora. The new 10-song album, The Color Before the Sun, represents the group’s first non-conceptual album.

“It’s very much a time capsule of my last two years,” singer-guitarist Claudio Sanchez says in a Mic.com interview. “I created [the comic book series] The Amory Wars in 1998 because at the time I didn’t understand what a frontman or a singer entailed. And I was sort of afraid to share my stories, and I didn’t want my stories to be judged. So I created fictitious ones to essentially hide behind.”

A VIP and Fan Club Presale is currently underway; tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday.
