Five years ago, singer Lady Gaga wore an outlandish meat dress to the MTV Video Music Awards. After she wore the dress onstage during her acceptance speech for Best Video of the Year for “Bad Romance,” it became a part of the Rock Hall’s touring exhibit Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power.

Tomorrow, the dress returns to Rock Hall to become part of the Right Here, Right Now exhibit, which focuses on modern rock and pop acts and currently features the metal outfit worn she wore in her video for “Bad Romance” as well as items from contemporary acts such as the Black Keys, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Fall Out Boy, Katy Perry, Grace Potter and Rihanna.

Jeff has been covering the Cleveland music scene for more than 25 years now. On a regular basis, he tries to talk to whatever big acts are coming through town. And if you're in a local band that he needs to hear, email him at jniesel@clevescene.com.
