Having played the bass guitar for over four decades, Lee owns hundreds of vintage bass guitars. His collection is the basis of his new book, Geddy Lee’s Big Book of Beautiful Bass.
At the event, the Rock Hall will launch a new exhibit of Lee’s basses. The event will also feature a Hall of Fame Series interview with Lee hosted by Lifeson, a book signing and a rebroadcast of Rush’s Hall of Fame Induction.
Tickets are $100 for Rock Hall members and $125 for non-members. They go on sale to Rock Hall members at 10 a.m. tomorrow and to non-members at 10 a.m. on Friday. Each ticket includes a copy of Lee’s new book, access to the Hall of Fame interview and book signing, a commemorative credential and access to the Rock Hall’s exhibits, including the new Lee bass guitar exhibit.

rush sucks
I was looking forward to this- as a 20+ year RRHOF member I was alerted to this event Pre-sale tix (limit 2) went on sale Thursday morning. Unfortunately due to high volume the RR ticket supplier crashed. Members were alerted via email regarding that and to try again Friday. There were many many members vocally complaining on SM that the system was once again glitchy. I was able to put 2 tix in my cart- went through process and got an alert that I’d have to call RRHOF due to my “seating arrangements” (?) and the tickets did not go through. So I reloaded and added 1 ticket and got a prompt “sold out” After seeing others complaining I tried again , I ordered 1 ticket (no sold out, prompt this time) ticket was processed…and then I once again received “seating arrangement” prompt. Obviously, RRHOF failed it’s members….they should have went through a ticket master or someone else who could have handled the volume. I was told via SM message that I could try again when tickets go on sale to general public Monday. Hmm…so apparently the event was NOT “sold out”
What a joke. The HOF suckered many of us into buying a $50 minimum membership to allow access to the presale. Thursday – site crashes and so we’re told try Friday as they were going to give it another go. Friday comes around, supposedly the event sold out under a minute…you can’t process tickets that fast. People are super pissed and light up the Rock and Roll HOF on social media. Via Facebook, we were told we could try again Monday. I called and was told someone would get back to me on Friday by a guy named Ryan from the HOF. That never happened. I called back before they closed on Friday…put into voice mail.
So today comes around, logged in to my account about 9 minutes early, oh…now they have a queue system set up. This shows there was indeed problems on Thursday and Friday. I’m patiently awaiting my turn when at about 1 minute left to be let into the site, a message pops up, SOLD OUT. are you kidding me? So I called the membership office and what a surprise, no one answers. WHAT A RIP OFF.
I don’t think this is how Rush would want their fans to be treated.
I completely agree with the other posts regarding RRHOF and their website as far as purchasing tickets is concerned. I was logged into the site just after 7a.m. and hit refresh periodically. At about 9:50 the site informed me I was going to be entered into a queue. Once I entered into the queue I was 748th in line and had an ETA of 10:40!!! Needless to say before my turn came the event was SOLD OUT. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed as this was going to be a surprise gift to my husband.
