A one-time member of Old Crow Medicine Show, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gill Landry wears many hats. He’s also a photographer, a traveler, a painter, a storyteller and a mechanic. He began his musical career by busking on the streets of New Orleans; since then, he’s opened for acts such as Mumford and Sons, Brandi Carlile, Ben Howard and the Felice Brothers. His latest album, a self-titled effort, features earnest roots rock that shows off his husky voice.
He plays at 8 p.m. on January 14, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum as part of the Rock Hall’s Sonic Sessions concert series. Locals Honeybucket open. Tickets are on sale now at tickets.rockhall.com or at the Rock Hall box office.
