Recommended fun show of the week: Sweetness. Sultry Broadway-trained singer Marie leads the California combo through catchy tunes about heartbreak, undying love, ice cream, and bitter kisses. No two songs sound alike, from the go-go power pop of “Angry Candy” and “Renne Ran Home” to the country-kissed send-off ballad “Time to Say Bye Bye.” And, good to the band’s promise, “Lovenaplove” really does float somewhere between the Cardigans and Belle & Sebastian.
