What to Do Tonight: Take Action Tour

You certainly can’t fault the cause. Proceeds from this year’s Take Action Tour benefit Driving for Donors, an organization that 14-year-old Patrick Pedraja started in 2007, shortly after he was diagnosed with leukemia. Too bad the tour’s lineup isn’t stronger. We the Kings, emo’s answer to Jonas Brothers, are the headliners. Songs like the bouncy “Heaven Can Wait” and “We’ll Be a Dream” are infectious, but they’re so shallow it sounds like the guys stole their lyrics from a 12-year-old girl’s diary. The band’s MySpace page is practically one giant ad for its latest album. Less obnoxious indie/emo bands Mayday Parade, Rocket to the Moon, There for Tomorrow and Call the Cops round out the bill. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. at House of Blues (308 Euclid Ave., 216.523.2583, houseofblues.com). Tickets: $16 advance, $19 day of show. — Niesel
