Earlier this week, 34-year-old William Hale was out in Strongsville and downed a fifth of Jagermeister with a friend. Good times, good times.

Unfortunately, the Elyria man needed to get back home and he and his friend, who had passed out in a truck somewhere on Route 42, were sauced. So Hale did the only logical thing for a man looking to get from Strongsville to Elyria: he decided to walk.

Yeah, you can imagine he didn't get very far. In fact, he never made it out of Strongsville. According to the Chronicle Telegram, he stopped at the Speedway on Route 82 and phoned for a cab. They told him it would be about 45 minutes before a cab would arrive. This was too long for our weary traveler.

So he called 911 instead.
