Winking Lizard Tavern has announced that the second Winks Bar and Grille will open in Beachwood. The original opened at the Galleria this past fall. The next in what likely will be a fast-growing regional brand will open in the former home of The Pit at 25800 Central Parkway, behind P.F. Chang’s on Chagrin Boulevard.

The Winking Lizard Tavern has grown to 16 units by combining good beer, good food and a casual, laid back atmosphere. Recently, the local restaurant group added the Lizardville concept to the mix, whiskey and craft beer-focused bars offering retail service. Winks, the group’s third concept, combines an extensive (largely local) craft beer list with a menu of American pub grub.

“Winks has provided us a fantastic vehicle to grow, but most importantly to stay in our home state,” says co-owner John Lane.

Following an extensive remodel, the building will look and feel much the same as the downtown location, Lane adds.

“This location mirrors the downtown demographics regarding office professionals, which in turn gets us excited about a strong lunch and happy hour business. Bottom line is that we are just having fun and love that we are growing,” he explains.

Look for Beachwood Winks to open this fall.

  1. Winking Lizard’s food is reminds me of my high school cafeteria. With so many awesome dining establishments around town why would anyone want to go to a Lizard?
