RTA's Waterfront Line Will Take You Right to Scene's Taste of Summer Event in the Flats This Weekend

[image-1]Leave your car at home and forget about Uber for one second, because there's a wildly easy way to get to and from Scene's Taste of Summer event this weekend.

The RTA's Waterfront Line, which provides the fastest trip to the Flats East Bank and which typically runs near-empty trains, will be running every 15 minutes this weekend. The less than 3-minute ride takes travelers from the Tower City Station to all the restaurants, gathering places, and amenities the Flats East Bank has to offer. And, of course, Scene's free three-day event.

Also new down in the Flats this Memorial Day Weekend: the launch of the new water-taxi service. The canopied taxis will run along the Cuyahoga River at the Main Avenue Bridge.

The Cleveland Metroparks will operate the taxis, running until 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and until 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays. A $2 admission gives a rider unlimited trips on the 26-foot-long taxi for the day. Each taxi can carry 18 passengers and four bikes.

The Taste of Summer three-day event features food, local music, craft cocktails, beer, local vendors, and many games and activities for guests of all ages. Hours for the event are 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. this Friday and 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. See you there!
