Emily St. John Mandel’s biggest hit was the best-selling 2014 post-apocalyptic novel Station Eleven, which was a finalist for a National Book Award and the PEN/Faulkner Award, and won the 2015 Arthur C. Clarke Award, among others. It is currently being adapted as an HBO limited series starring Mackenzie Davis and Himesh Patel.
Mandel lives in New York City and writes for the online literary magazine The Millions. Her appearance at CSU is part of an ongoing series of readings and other events hosted at the NEOMFA’s four constituent campuses: Cleveland State, the University of Akron, Kent State and Youngstown State.
