Yeah, that was the Norton Furniture guy on the local Super Bowl broadcast in a commercial that started out like the dozens of others that were beamed over local airwaves in the past except — plot twist — Taco Bell showed up at the end and the Norton guy promoted the new quesalupa. 

How’d that happen? Taco Bell tapped people like the Norton guy in most markets, people so weird and niche-y and whose hokey local marketing campaigns made them local celebrities of a sort. Here’s Mashable’s background on the topic. The Norton guy, in all his glory, is below.
