Vintage Video: Meet 'Old Sparky,' Ohio's Electric Chair

With executions in the news recently, NewsNet5 dug up some old video and coverage of Ohio's electric chair, which was last used in 1963.

That seat of fire was called "Old Sparky" or "Old Thunderbolt," which both seem like cuter names for old dogs than a death delivery device, but whatever. A little nugget from the 1983 report: the chair was invented in Milan, OH, the birthplace of Thomas Edison.
