JACK Casino's April revenue was underreported by 500,000, a spokesperson for the Ohio Casino Control Commission has acknowledged. One day of the month's revenue was excluded in error when the report was compiled.

That means that JACK's actual April revenue was $7.2 million, and is still the lowest month of April in the casino's history. That's a surprise, given that JACK unveiled its Synergy gaming area last month, a gambling experience targeted at a millennial crowd that was described, in promotional materials, as an "arena style adventure" that "fuses electronic table games, high energy dealer entertainment, live DJs, pulsating lights, social interaction and giant video displays."

"It is gaming," went the tagline, "on rocket fuel."

Synergy's grand opening coincided with a very bad month. While the corrected figure is much closer to last year's April revenue ($7.5 million), the Cleveland casino was the only location in the state (with four casinos and seven racinos in total) to decline year over year.

Cleveland.com reported that the commission notified JACK officials of the accounting error on Tuesday and state documents have been updated to reflect the new figures.
