The event group known as Mushroom Rally USA brings the race to Northeast Ohio Sept. 14. Its exact destination, however, is still under wraps, except that the track will be “approximately 40 minutes south of Downtown Cleveland.”
For the uninitiated, participants, dressed as their favorite Mario Kart characters, are set to compete at a pop-up go kart race track for stars, bragging rights and a chance to even race in Las Vegas.
The race was originally only scheduled for Columbus and Cincinnati (among other cities nationwide), but fan feedback brought the addition of a Cleveland stop, and thank goodness.
Tickets, as predicted from other markets, is going to be $55.
The event begins at 9 a.m., and you can sign up right here.

Do you need your own kart?
40 minutes South of Cleveland?! So… the Akron Mushroom Rally?
I’m wondering the same thing do you need your own car?
So it’s at High Voltage Karting in Medina? Which is not in Cleveland at all? Maybe this person is fro Cleveland and doing the classic:
“Where are you from”?
“X city in Ohio”
“what?”
“CLEVELAND IM FROM CLEVELAND”
Which is great and all, and we have all done it, but like this doesn’t work for hosting an event you noodleheads.
Looks like fun until you start reading the fine print. 1 ticket is over $70 after fee and tax to sign up, You can only bring 1 spectator to cheer you on (which sucks), and it’s 40 minutes south of Cleveland (not in Cleveland) which makes the marketing sketchy.
Is Cleveland still a city?
So…somewhere north of Columbus.
Can someone please tell me why it took “fan feedback” to bring this to Cleveland? The 17th largest market in the country? How does this city keep missing out on concerts and events like this? Wtf is going on in northeast Ohio.
For those who dont know theres one in Dayton ohio june 21st
Do you get to throw banana peels at your competitors?
