Well, there, you missed your chance, that is if you’re one of the adventurous many who think, “Naw, I don’t want to do real drugs, I’d rather puff/snort some test-tube concocted knock-off.” Today, Ohio’s ban on synthetic marijuana — known as K2 — and bath salts goes into effect. Whereas you used to be able to stroll into head shops and corner stores to score these items, now you’ll have to buy on the sly in some dank apartment or out of the back of a rusting mini-van, just like real drugs.

In all seriousness, this is good move on the part of regulators. If you read this blog regularly, you know that when someone gets up on a bath salt high, they’re a danger to others as well as themselves. And K2 — that’s just like smoking potpourri, which is just plain weird.

The new law places both substances on the Schedule 1 list, the no-no of narcotics. The ban was signed into law in July by Governor John Kasich. The new statutes do include penalties if you’re caught with the substances on your person. Below, after the jump:

  1. now snorting bath salt is just plain weird, but the fact they Ohio had to ban it is kind of ridiculous many people actually use it for its INTENDED PURPOSE and no longer can now. They shouldn’t have to stop because of these lunatics who snort bath salt!

  2. well thank god the bath salts are banned, that stuff frys your brain and does permanent damage beyond even poorly cooked crystal meth…and it makes you crazy!!! shuts down the upper level functions of your brain at higher doses and leaves you operating on just your brain core…which is the level of reptiles(they dont have a mid brain or mantle) I think thats why dude in miame was munching on that poor guys face…is mind devolved into a reptilian mentality…and that k2….i dont think its dangerous..but I
smoked it once at it was the worst dirty high of my life….stick with the dank!!!
