Chuck Prophet and His Cumbia Shoes
Singer-guitarist Chuck Prophet brings His Cumbia Shoes, a band that features two members of the Salinas, CA-based cumbia band ¿Qiensave? along with Prophet’s long-time band, the Mission Express, to the Beachland Ballroom in support of the recently released Wake the Dead. Artists Run the Streets Opening Exhibit
The City of Cleveland’s third annual Black History Month exhibition, Artists Run the Streets, highlights the impact of labor through the lens of six talented Cleveland artists. Curated by the For Art’s Sake artist collective, the exhibition features work by Christa Freehands, Chris Goody, Ryan Harris, Mike Miller, Sampson Smiley and Lacy Talley. The reception at City Hall takes place from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Conversations with Women in STEAM
Author Margot Lee Shetterly will kick off the Museum of Natural History’s new series Conversations with Women in STEAM. Shetterly is the author of Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race, a 2016 New York Times bestseller. An Evening of Storytelling and Performance with with Leslie Mandoki and Tony Carey
In 1992, Ian Anderson, Jack Bruce, and Al Di Meola became founding members of Leslie Mandoki’s band project ManDoki Soulmates, and Mandoki has continued to work with Anglo-American and European rock and jazz-rock in the Mandoki Soulmates band. Tonight at 7 at the Rock Hall, Mandoki will speak about his career and perform.

Charles Wesley Godwin
The West Virginia singer-songwriter comes to the Agora tonight at 7. Singer-songwriter Caleb Caudle opens. His recent album, 2023’s Family Ties, finds him writing tunes about different family members. Evoking an earlier era of country music, Godwin effectively brings traditional country instruments such as banjo and fiddle into the mix.

The Great Big Home + Garden Show
The 10-day Great Big Home + Garden Show is back at the I-X Center, and it features a whopping 475 exhibits centering on how to “renew, refresh and restore” your home and garden as landscaping experts will present daily gardening seminars. HGTV’s Mina Starsiak Hawk of Good Bones and Dave and Jenny Marrs of Fixer to Fabulous will appear on the Main Stage. Check the show’s website for hours and a complete schedule of happenings. The exhibit runs through Sunday.

Sweet Honey in the Rock: 50th Anniversary Tour

This annual event that finds participants running in their skivvies has a noble goal.
