  1. What? Liberals don’t contradict themselves? President Obama is a walking contradiction, just like all politicans and talking heads! They make a strong statement to satisfy one group and then totally turn the language around to appease another! Consider the biased media’s recent attempt to imply that those who didn’t favor the 2016 Olympics in Chicago are as bad as Jane Fonda supporting the Vietcong: And yet Fonda was the heroine in Liberal circles who were against the Vietnam War and stood passionately for freedoms that they felt were being attacked by a arrogant government headed up by Richard Nixon. Talk about hypocricy!

  2. Jane Fonda? Boy, you REALLY are stuck in the past! News flash: It’s 2009, not 1969. Of course, if you’re a rightie, you probably wish it was 1869.

  3. Hi FrankLewis,

Here’s the link you requested compliments MSNBC’s Ed Schultz:

In response to Abba’s post, I thank God were not in 1869, because slavery would still be a sad reality in this country: Though I wouldn’t mind the civility of 1869 back in the way that politicians and talking heads relate to each other…While it’s true I favor the right, I have a very low opinions of both sides and their pathetic partisan attitudes. Even worse, whether it was the Nixon-run White House or the Obama-led White House, our government does not welcome dissent from its citizens…Which I would contend was probably not as much of an issue in 1869. I’m just tired of political hypocricy, period!

  4. thanks for the link, scribe. but now your point makes even less sense. of course ed schultz is biased, even he’d tell you that. he’s a liberal commentator, a counterpart to hannity, etc. so citing him as evidence of “biased media” is pretty ridiculous.

furthermore, schultz wasn’t talking about anyone who “didn’t favor” a chicago olympics, he was talking about those who cheered — literally cheered — when chicago was not chosen. referencing jane fonda was absurd, but his point is valid: that was a disgusting display, a true low point for conservatives (and that’s really saying something).

so yeah, sean hannity is a world-class hypocrite.

  5. Thanks for the response, FrankLewis. I do understand where your coming from with the “biased media” point. To me, I consider just about anything that comes from MSNBC — whether it be a “News” broadcaster or “News” commentator as biased, because they don’t welcome the viewpoint of the right enough…and if they do succeed at times it’s certainly drowned out by hate mongers like Keith Olberman. Granted, Fox certainly favors the right: But they often do include the viewpoints of solid left thinkers like Juan Williams…But the arguement could certainly be made about Hannity’s viewpoints drowning out sound points from the left…I guess it’s a washout in the end. I will agree that Hannity CAN be a hypocite!

But I do have hard time beliving that everybody who literaly cheered for Chicago losing out on the Olympics was neccessarily conservaties, considering President Obama’s approval rating has dropped significantly since election day. I can’t believe that the drop in approval is all conservaties. I believe some liberals are changing their minds on Obama — and I contend that they were amongst the cheering crowds…To be sure, many liberals cheered against George Bush over the past eight years — even when some his policies did make sense.
