This weekends Big [Box] offering at Cleveland Public Theatre,
Fault Lines, centers on the theme of natural movement. Its fitting, since the show was conceived and is performed by Double-Edge Dance. We mostly deal with geological aspects, says choreographer and dancer Kora Radella. The imagery is fairly clear within the piece. Thats because the local collective also includes video artists and photographers. Fault Lines features several new works by all of them. Its a real collaboration, says Radella. Theres quite a bit of variety. The show integrates abstract artwork, interpretive dance, and moving sculptures, which shift position onstage. Im interested in fractures, says Radella. Sometimes all it takes is one little touch for something to break down. We all have fractures within us.
