Just give me the fries, and everybody goes home to their families.

This is a great Christmas story (we’re still on the holiday tip) because despite being straight from the more ridiculous annuls of the police blotter, it’s anchored in some gosh darn messy love between a man and his missus.

French fries are the source of the conflict here. According to the Sandusky Register, 45-year-old Robert A. Quilen decided to stop by the McDonald’s in Perkins township to pick up an order of the salty sticks for his wife before she went to work last Sunday. He noticed the fast-food joints’ employees served him up an order from the discarded stack of fries, and Quilen demanded a fresh batch for his wife.

  1. nothin’ worse than cold fries! should have made the man some new ones and the problem would have been solved.

  2. Yes, they could have given the man a fresh order of fries. I’ve asked for a fresh order of fries many times, with no problem. The manager in Sandusky let a small matter get out of hand and that’s sad.

  3. Like the comment befor said that the manager let a little situation get out of control…all they hd to do was drop a fresh batch of fries. i think that the employee was having a bad day and decided to take it out on the next person that walked through the door! I HOPE that he feels better now…Happy New Year McDonalds hope the this year fresh fries won’t send you into a tizy!

  4. Have to agree with all. A fresh order of fries is all that was needed. Great time to air one of my gripes with another McDonalds that pawns off old stuff at the carry-out…and I’m not the only one who has noticed this. The McDonalds in Garfield Heights does the same, especially in the evening. I have gotten some of the nastiest cold food there. I think they do it becouse they realizr that you are not going to turn around from wherever you are heading tobring it back. I just stopped going there.
