“Help. Microphone’s stuck again.”

Remember Urge Overkill? Come on, dig deep. They’re there somewhere between those Soul Asylum and Breeders songs you’ve buried. That’s right – they had a radio hit with “Sister Havana,” right when alt-rock was busting out in 1993. Their cover of Neil Diamond’s “Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon” was in Pulp Fiction. Apparently, they’re still around. And Scene photographer Walter Novak caught their show (with the Suede Brothers) at the Beachland on Friday. Check out Walter’s slide show. –Michael Gallucci

  1. i bought ‘Saturation’ on cassette while at ohio state for a science olympiad festival in spring 1994. i was pretty much obsessed with it for the next year, so much so that i rocked an UO shirt in high school.
nearly 15 years later, i still rock the album in my car in the spring, constantly. as in, last week.
