Last month, we acquainted you with “Buddie,” ResponsibleOhio’s brand new marijuana mascot and with 26-year-old Ericka Buford, the Columbus actor inside the newly minted costume.

Last night, Stephen Colbert introduced the world to Buddie in a four-minute clip that also discussed Wendy’s, Willie Nelson, and the pressing question: Why would marijuana-smoking college students need a brussel sprout look-a-like to relate to anyway?

“If you’re a college student who’s high and you see Buddie, I’m not sure you’re going to go to the voting booth. I’m pretty sure you’re going to check yourself into a psych ward. I’m not convinced that is marijuana. It’s got a B on its chest and it kind of looks like a giant Brussels sprout,” Colbert spouts off.

  2. Buddie is a sick joke…he looks about as stupid as Brutus Buckeye would look if he dressed up for St. Patrick’s Day.
