With about 48 hours remaining until Touch Supper Club (2710 Lorain Ave., 216-631-5200) reopens its doors to the public for the first time in a year, the two-level space is a beehive of activity.
“We’re still putting the last small things together,” says owner Rob Ivanov. “We’re going down to the wire.” Ivanov originally had planned to reopen his club in time to ring in the New Year, but that’s not the way things worked out. “We took some time off, the [food] truck got really busy over the summer and we’re doing a lot of the work ourselves,” he said.
When guests do show back up, either for the big Relaunch Party this Friday or in the coming days or weeks, they’ll see a nicely updated main floor along with a completely renovated lower level. Changes throughout include all new bathrooms upstairs and down as well as an updated and improved sound system.
The major renovations were confined to the basement, which got a top-down overhaul. A new zinc-topped bar was positioned further down the wall to improve ingress and egress from the stairs leading into the space while also creating more room for seating. All new flooring abuts a new stretch of cushy banquette-style booths.
An updated kitchen will be paired with an all new menu courtesy of chef Jeff Fisher, who will return the food to its glory days. A new and improved beer, wine and cocktail list round out the changes.
“It will still be the same Touch but updated,” says Ivanov. “It’s been 15 years since anything major has been done here. Since I opened up.”

How about making it look like less of a dump from the outside?
Good food, good vibe.
But I will never understand the branding. The logo looks like it belongs on an energy drink from 2002, and the trashy cartoon women painted on the food truck are tasteless.
This place has always been a Cle favorite! Can’t wait to see the refresh. Rob is a great owner has always welcomed his customers w a handshake. That goes a long way. Welcome back Touch!
