The closure allows the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District to continue work on the Westerly Storage Tunnel, which is set to stop 300 million gallons of sewage water per year from running into the Cuyahoga River and is part of the Project Clean initiative.
When all is said and done on this 2-mile, $135 million construction project, sewer district crews will be able to access the tunnel at W. 45th and more.
While the city optimistically says the ramp should only be closed for 150 days, that amount is still just an estimate. In the meantime, travelers will just have to deal with the inconvenience.

Only five months??? Why not close down the ramp for a couple years like all these other endless Road construction projects??? And in the meantime our water and sewer bills are doubling and tripling every year it seems!!!
Well, they missed the Oct 31 estimate… any update on when it might actually be finished?
