Most hilariously, the city wanted to let everyone know that getting drunk at the Muni Lot is absolutely not OK.
“Open containers, consumption of alcohol and public intoxication are all prohibited inside the municipal lot,” the city said in a statement. “For those who plan to consume alcohol during any sporting event, always ensure there is a designated driver. Please exercise caution at all times and ‘if you see something, please say something.'”
So come Sunday, when the Browns are scheduled to take down the Tennessee Titans at 1 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium, remember that the following list of items are banned from the lot:
-Open pit fires
-Charcoal grills
-Alcohol
-Vandalism
-Private latrines
People are also not allowed in and out privileges with their vehicles and saving spaces is strictly prohibited.
Gates to the lot open at 7 a.m. for regular season day games and each slot costs $25. Patrons of the lot can expect the city to provide 50 portable restrooms, 75 trashcans and three dumpsters, all of which we at Scene agree are not nearly enough.
Check out last year’s Muni Lot shenanigans right here, which, we’re sure, do not include alcohol.

Lets get ready for the news coverage on how a bunch of drunks left the muni a mess. When the reality is that the homeless tear open the trash bags left behind to try and find aluminum cans. Why is the trash left behind? Because the city refuses to put out enough dumpsters and trash cans to hold the trash. I won’t even get into how few bathroom facilities are provided.
I bet the two of you are fun at parties.
Hope that restriction was lifted for the after game period, after THAT soup sandwich, the fans need a drink, lol.
Is this a list of what’s banned, or a checklist of things to do for a proper muni lot experience?
