Brahms’s Second Symphony

Music Director Franz Welser-Möst leads the Cleveland Orchestra as it plays Brahms’s Second Symphony as well as Liszt’s ode to Orpheus. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Mandel Concert Hall, where the concert repeats at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Death Becomes Her

This musical comedy based on the 1992 film about two women who drink a potion that gives them immortality comes to the State Theatre. Tonight’s performance takes place at 7:30, and performances continue through Oct. 3.

Tracy Lawrence: No Alibis Tour 2026

The country singer-songwriter brings his tour in support of his latest album, Out Here in It, to the Akron Civic Theatre. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Sparta

The group brings its Cut a Silhouette World Tour to Mahall’s 20 Lanes in Lakewood. The tour supports the band’s new album, Cut a Silhouette. Album single “Crater” fits the post hardcore template and features surging guitars and bellowing vocals. Doors open at 7 p.m. Sept. 24.

This annual weekend-long fundraising event celebrates imagination, engineering and the arts across four floors in the IngenuityLabs warehouse in the St. Clair and Superior neighborhood. The event runs through Sunday.

Bryson Tiller Presents: The NEO Trapsoul Tour

Louisville-based rapper Bryson Tiller headlines this multi-act bill that includes Majid Jordan, Ty Dolla $ign and Austin Millz. Last year, Tiller celebrated the 10-year anniversary of his debut, Trapsoul, and released the double-album Solace & the Vices. Additionally, Bryson recently worked with Chris Brown on the hit tune “It Depends.” The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at Blossom.

Transit Reception and Artist Talk

A solo exhibition by visual artist Izabela Zoga, Transit explores immigrant identity, cultural memory and community through portrait digital and silver print photography and printmaking. The exhibit is on display at Cleveland Public Library’s Main Library, where a reception and artist talk takes place at 12:30 p.m. today.

The Velveteen Rabbit

The Winter’s Tale

A jealous king destroys his family in this Shakespeare play about a lost princess’s attempts to save a kingdom. Great Lakes Theater presents the play at 7:30 tonight at the Hanna Theatre, where it runs through Oct. 11.

Cleveland VegFest

Expect to find more than 20 vegan food vendors at this annual event. Though food is a big part of being vegan, this event isn’t all just vegetables. VegFest also provides an opportunity for spectators to hear presenters who focus on different aspects of a vegan lifestyle, as well as watch several food demonstrations that showcase vegan dishes. It takes place from noon to 5 p.m. at Lincoln Park.

The Doobie Brothers

The classic rock group is takin’ it to the streets again. Rock Hall inductees, the group performs at 7:30 p.m. at the Northfield Park Racino as it continues its 50th anniversary tour. Not ones to rest on their laurels, they also put out new material last year when they released Walk This Road.

Food Truck Challenge

The Food Truck Challenge returns to Crocker Park today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cleveland’s best food trucks will compete to win one of the “best of…” categories being judged. There will be live music, kid-friendly activities and vendors. Winners will be crowned by a panel of guest judges and local foodies in eight categories beginning at 3:15 p.m. Admission is free.

Inaugural XCSB Flea Market

The Beachland Ballroom will host this fundraising event for the college radio station. It runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
