Rover has barked his last bark — at least on 92.3 K-Rock. His popular and controversial morning show, Rovers Morning Glory — featuring naked fat men prancing in the street, stomach-turning bets, death-defying dares, as well as heated debates between the shrilly clueless Duji and nasally arrogant Rover — is officially done.
Tom Herschel, the station’s general manager, tells C-Notes the decision was mutual and the result of unsuccessful contract talks.
“Rover has been with us for five years, and we really hoped we could come to an agreement to keep that going,” Herschel says. “But at this point, that’s not going to happen. Rover has chosen to move on. So we made the decision to move on ourselves.” …

Rover is officially moving to WMMS 100.7 in Cleveland. The show will be live on April 1st
Still no official word from Rover, or from WMMS. But 19 Action News is reporting that Rover has jumped to WMMS for half a mil, and will be starting on April 1. I’ll update with new information as I get it.

as with stern, some good air time, some not.. wmms sure has gone down the ladder since back in the days of the new… dont listen to either anymore…

Bobby Bednarski likes to kiss men wearing spandex, is not as smart as he thinks, and is not as politically savvy as he wants you to think by using the word “Republikkins”. The show does resemble the Howard Stern format by having a female co-host, a meat head, and a sound guy. They cover current topics, the news, and do interviews. If every radio show is not allowed to do something Howard Stern did, then what exactly would we listen to? No news, no current topics, no interviews. I am sure there were shows talking about current topics, news, and doing interviews before Stern did it. Does that make Stern a copier? The “glory” of Rovers Morning Glory is it is on free radio. If you don’t like it, don’t listen. The show is quality. They address current topics, provide humor, Rover does not bend over during interviews to kiss the @$$ of some celeb, but askes the good questions. If you go into the show with the “I’m a die hard Howard fan, but don’t want to pay to hear him.” attitude, you may have a difficult time liking this show, but then again, you probably still buy Jackie Martling CD’s and hope that you get the opportunity to call a TV show and say ba-ba-boey on the air. Howard is over. He is the Godfather of talk radio, but he his past his prime, and the new generation is taking over. Yo Rover!, Yo Dieter!, Duji has a forehead you could show movies on, she murders the English language, puts in her 2 cents when not asked for or needed, but can make you laugh.
