Cornhole competitors, airborne cyclists, and Yiddish klezmer musicians fill the sidewalks at today’s Warehouse District Street Festival. The fourth-annual bash — which takes place on West Sixth Street and St. Clair Avenue — puts the spotlight on the area’s bars, restaurants, and retailers. “It’s a cultural center,” says event coordinator Marcia Mandell.
Best of all, since it’s a family-friendly fest, young folks can check out some of the city’s most popular hot spots — without having to use their fake IDs. Eateries like the Waterstreet Grill, Brasa, and the Nauti Mermaid serve up some of their best dishes alfresco. “It’s for the sophisticated palate and parents bringing their kids out,” says Mandell. The Plus Band, the Latin Jazz Project, and UP Ensemble bring the noise to a pair of outdoor stages, while BMXers perform motocross stunts and local artists show off their work.
Also, area residents will open their apartment and condo doors, and show visitors their fabulous downtown living spaces. “With all the fun indoors and outside,” says Mandell, “this is the sort of festival that makes you happy to live in Cleveland.”

I have gone to this event for the last two years and was downtown that weekend and looking forward to it again. However, I believe it was rained out, is it going to be rescheduled?
