Brooklyn’s the Ladybug Transistor is another one of those multi-member bands with a revolving lineup. Gary Olson has been the only constant since the group’s debut CD, Marlborough Farms, a dozen years ago. On the recently released Can’t Wait Another Day, he’s joined by a couple of new full-time Ladybugs as well as members of Architecture in Helsinki, the Clientele, and Jens Lekman. The sunny, spacious chamber pop never sounds cluttered, which is a testament to Olson’s skill at wrangling so many players. His own rich baritone grounds the music — a mix of crisp indie rock and sweeping ballads that keeps stuffiness to a minimum.
